    As a Mortgage Advisor, a typical day might include the following:

    • Conduct mortgage application interviews of applicants generated through established contacts: SEGs, Direct Requests, Payoff Requests, Expired Applications, FORUM Marketing Events, and Outside Referral Sources etc.
    • Develop contacts in the real estate industry and other outside sources to produce additional mortgage loans by performing pre-approvals and providing borrower education.
    • Ensure all client contact, disclosures, and client involvement are done in compliance with applicable federal and state regulations.
    • Develop proficiency in lending guidelines for all investors and correspondent relationships with FORUM Mortgage and keep informed of the changes in the mortgage industry.
    • Ensure a smooth and timely mortgage process and closing by:
      • Pre-qualifying applicants.
      • Counseling customers on the mortgage products and the process.
      • Submitting borrower files to Underwriting for Pre-Approval
      • Obtaining all necessary documents and information.
      • Keeping all involved parties up-to-date on the status of the loan.

    • Ability to develop contacts and network with REALTORS, builders, and other professionals
    • Attention to detail involving numbers, conversations, procedures, and documents.


    What we are looking for:

    • College degree or equivalent work experience
    • Sales and/or financial industry experience required
    • Must be able to obtain NMLS # and meet all State and Federal requirements.
    • Proficient computer skills (Microsoft Office software)
