    Position Summary: As part of the development team, the Programmer Analyst is responsible for designing, developing and maintaining software applications.   Responsibilities include analyzing, designing, developing, testing, documenting and implementing applications and application components, and providing technical support to existing applications.

    Responsibilities

    Essential Duties:

     

    • Work as part of a team in the development and support of applications. This will include components of large projects and entire applications for small projects.
    • Prioritize tasks and technical issues during all phases of software development and communicate to team in an efficient manner using issue and bug tracking tools.
    • Create and maintain technical documentation for new and existing product offerings and processes. Work with other team members and departments to understand and documents business and technical requirements.
    • Perform necessary maintenance and upgrades to new and existing product offerings and supporting systems. This involves tracking upgrades and working occasional non-traditional hours when necessary to facilitate the implementation of these upgrades.
    • Stay current with the latest software engineering methodologies, including software development design patterns, practices, and technologies related to the development of software applications.

    • Ability to understand and process complex information; able to identify key underlying issues while considering the situation, the issues, key players and the levels of authority involved; exercise sound judgment; proposes courses of action.

    Qualifications

    What we are looking for:

    • Equivalent to a college degree (BS or BA) in a relevant field
    • Three years to five years of similar or related experience
    • Experience with Microsoft SQL Server and IIS, and MS products including Visual Studio.NET
    • Experience developing and debugging web applications, web services and database centric applications
    • Experience with web architecture and common design practices
    • Experience with source control management tools
    • Ability to work in a team environment with flexible schedule/hours
