    Position Summary:  The Collections Assistant Manager is responsible for assisting in the daily operations of the collections department to include:  staffing, scheduling, performance management and staff training/development.   This position will monitor and review collection arrangements and ensure that appropriate policies and procedures are followed to maintain compliance.

    Responsibilities

    Essential Duties:

    • Manage daily operations of the collections department to ensure goals are achieved and call quality and abandon rate standards are met.
    • Assist Collections Manager in development and implementation of goals and strategies to minimize risk and ensure regulatory compliance.
    • Review delinquent accounts for appropriate collections action, ensuring maximum efforts have been taken to collect funds
    • Manage all past due accounts, approving extensions, charge off, repossessions and liquidations as appropriate.
    • Maintain collection and incentive reporting.

    Qualifications

    What we are looking for:

    • A two-year college degree or completion of a specialized course of study at a business or trade school or completion of a specialized and extensive in-house training program
    • One year to three years of similar or related experience
    • Proficient computer skills
